Question:Does anyone know of alternative medications that can be used for bone
spurs in heel? The doctor told me shots of cortizone into the heel, or
surgery. I said,"forget it, I'll suffer a little longer." I
would appreciate any ideas. I also have Arthritis in the other foot. I
have been taking DHEA,Calcium,Zinc.
Answer:My mother had a heel spur, and also experiences knee and hip pain. She took
Niacin for awhile and it seemed to help but then switched to Evening
Primrose Oil and swears by it - she certainly seems to get around a lot more
comfortably these days. BTW, she also does Aquafit regularly and
acknowledges the benefits of this to painful joints.
