Question:Is there something wrong with my forearm muscle or bone?
My forearm feels fine most of the time...but it hurts when I do heavy
curls.
When I try curling (with a barbell) over 90lbs, my forearm hurts around
the middle of the arm - right in the middle between my elbow and wrist.
This happens, when I am approaching the midpoint of the lift.
When I assume is when the greatest "searing" force is on my forearm.
It feels like it is coming from the bone. Could I have a
semi-fracture?
But there is no pain any other time.
When I bench heavy, or do rows, pullups or deadlifts, no pain for any
of those.
But I guess when curling a heavy weight the leverage is going against
the bone.
When the forearm is perpendicular to the upper arm, that is when it
hurts.
This has gone on as long as I can remember.
What could it be, and what should I do to correct this?
Answer:Try en EZ-bar.
If that does not work, try dumbells, and rotate them in such a manner it
feels comfortable.
Try hammer curls, and try close grip pullups/pulldowns, palms facing towards
you.
