Question:Can anyone tell me about bone density testing? my pcp today decided "to be
concerned" about my continue prednisone use (about 3 months now) and wants
me to get a bone density test.
so i will be working towards 35mg one day, 0mg the next, 35/0 and so forth.
pcp said this will significanty reduce the side effects.
Answer:Bone density testing is simple, painless, and no big deal at all. It's the
best test you'll ever take. But a very good idea. I've got osteoporosis now
from prednisone also. I'm very glad I know ahead of time.
